I recently came across the article titled “Deakin University Gujarat Placements” published on bschoolbuzz.in, and I believe it contains seriously misleading and factually incorrect information about placements at Deakin University GIFT City. The article claims: • Existence of high placement packages (up to ₹32 LPA) • Strong placement outcomes comparable to established Indian B-schools • Successful placement of students into companies These claims are not accurate. ❌ Reality vs What the Article Claims 1. No direct placements have occurred Companies associated with the campus have not offered direct full-time roles. Students were offered 6-month internships only, which are: • Subject to performance • At complete company discretion • Not guaranteed to convert into permanent roles Calling this a “placement” is factually incorrect. 2. Internships ≠Placements An internship with a possible future conversion cannot be classified as placement, especially when: • No offer letter for permanent employment exists • No CTC is guaranteed • No conversion rate has been disclosed Therefore, none of the students are actually placed as of now. 3. No official placement report exists Deakin University GIFT City has not published any verified placement report confirming: • Highest package • Average salary • Placement percentage Any figures mentioned in the article are unverified and unsupported by official data. 4. Highly misleading for prospective students
Very bad experience, administration specially the placement department is worst, for cybersecurity it is hopeless. None of the cybersecurity students in the inaugural cohort placed. Manipulations and deceit is daily conduct. Being the 1st international campus in Gujarat, the promises they did, all under the bucket .... Please join any other college if looking for decent placement
