Heritage, Vision, and National Impact
Founded in 1996, Amrita School of Business (ASB) rapidly established itself as not only a South Indian management icon, but also a globally recognized, responsible B-school. As a constituent of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham—which is ranked among India’s Top 10 universities (NIRF, THE)—ASB embodies core values of sustainability, service, and innovation. It is the only Indian university ranked in the world's Top 100 (THE Impact 2025) for sustainable development and global reach.
Academic Pedigree:
ASB delivers a world-class, AACSB-accredited curriculum, blending international rigor with deeply Indian values. The “six-trimester” MBA covers general management, advanced analytics, operations, HR, marketing, finance, and IT. Over 60 electives, regular corporate immersion, and live projects ensure robust learning. Classrooms are energised by diverse faculty (India, Europe, US, Singapore) and leading CEO guest lectures; alumni serve as managers, founders, and innovators from Silicon Valley to Singapore.
The dual-degree agreement with Telecom Ecole De Management, France—and active student exchange with the University of Groningen, Netherlands—give students unique pathways to global internships, second-degree options, and cross-cultural research projects. ASB’s SAP University Alliance, IBM Analytics, Lean Six Sigma, and SHRM certification further enhance employability.
Campus & Student Experience:
ASB Coimbatore is a lush, eco-friendly 400-acre playground nestled in the Western Ghats:

24/7 learning resource center (80,000 volumes, 5,000+ eJournals), Bloomberg terminals
Premium sports facilities (Olympic pool, amphitheatre, stadium, fitness centers)
Hostel blocks with air-conditioned rooms, WiFi, organic food courts
Buddy mentoring, cohort-based competitions, leadership development, and cultural fests (Anokha, Vyasa) build a community dedicated to both career and personal growth. The Amrita Leadership Lab, Social Connect, and Capstone project take learning out of the classroom and into industry, analytics hubs, and local villages.
Industry & Global Partnerships:
ASB thrives on its partnerships with giants like Cognizant, KPMG, Deloitte, Infosys, Tata, Tech Mahindra, EY, Amazon, Aditya Birla Group, and biopharma multinationals. Over 250 companies participated in placements last cycle, with recruiters spanning consulting, banking, analytics, IT, manufacturing, and consumer sectors.
Students enjoy internships with leading global corporates and have broad access to startup, social innovation, and sustainability projects (Amrita LiveLab, Rural Internship, Social Business Connect). The “Global MBA Track” allows up to one year in France or Holland.
Ethos & Social Responsibility:
Amrita’s commitment to “compassion-driven business” is visible in its curriculum, research, and action projects on sustainable development, women’s empowerment, digital literacy, healthcare, and rural transformation. Students work on field projects with UNDP, social enterprises, and local NGOs.
